Battery Technician – Contract Position
Based in the Burnaby, British Columbia, Nano One Materials Corporation (NNO) is a small, dynamic company with a novel technology for the synthesis of lithium battery materials. We are currently developing novel cathode materials with unique properties and are scaling up the process on a path to the commercialization of our technology.
We currently have a contract position for a Battery Technician to work in our laboratory, providing technical support to the Senior Battery Technician and Laboratory staff in the processing, production and testing of our cathode materials in Lithium Ion cells.
- You are a helpful and enthusiastic, hands-on technician who possesses basic electronics skills, knows their way around cabling and connectors, with fine motor skills, manual dexterity and good vision assembling small delicate components.
- You are mechanically minded, have a curiosity into how things work and may have had experience working with, calibrating, and maintaining a variety of different lab equipment in the past. In your work, you are precise and detail oriented.
- You have good working laboratory skills and understand the importance of maintaining a safe, clean and tidy work environment. Your written and verbal communication skills with your co-workers are clear and concise. The position will require you to be computer literate. You will also be responsible for maintaining an inventory of laboratory consumables and ordering.
- In your past, you may have worked with an inert atmosphere glove box and may have worked in a chemical laboratory or in a clean room environment such as pharmaceutical or medical device production.
This is an excellent position for with a technical diploma, with relevant experience or a bachelors in Chemistry. Grade 12 Chemistry and knowledge working with WHMIS is a definite asset.
