Anthony Tse
Chair of the Board of Directors
Mr. Anthony Tse brings nearly 30 years of private and public corporate experience across multiple high-growth technology industries, including 15 years in the energy transition space—particularly within the electric vehicle, energy storage, and lithium battery value chain sectors. His career has been largely focused on senior management roles emphasizing strategy and development, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance on an international scale. Mr. Tse has managed businesses and operations across four continents, spanning the Greater China and Asia region, Australia, and North and South America.
He is the former Managing Director and CEO of Galaxy Resources, where he served on the Board for over a decade and oversaw a global portfolio of lithium operations and project developments in Australia, China, Argentina, and Canada. During his tenure, he led the company’s transformation from a junior mining developer into one of the world’s top five lithium producers. This was achieved through the creation of Allkem and its merger with Orocobre in 2021, resulting in a combined market capitalization exceeding A$6 billion. Allkem has since merged with Livent to form Arcadium.
Mr. Tse currently serves as Executive Board Chair of Li-FT Power Ltd. (TSXV: LIFT), a mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition, exploration, and development of lithium pegmatite projects in Canada. He also chairs Minviro, a global leader in sustainability measurement, reporting, and life cycle assessment with a primary focus on the battery value chain. In addition, he is a Strategic Advisor to Sicona Battery Technologies, a developer of silicon–composite anode materials for advanced lithium batteries, and Novalith Technologies, a developer of lithium extraction technologies.
Beyond his industry roles, Mr. Tse has held positions with leading institutional investors. He currently serves as Senior Advisor to EMR Capital, a global natural resources private equity firm, and was previously an Operating Partner with the Global Private Equity Group of Franklin Templeton (NYSE: BEN), a global asset management organization.
