How Nano One Breaks China’s Battery Monopoly
Our COO, Alex Holmes, explains how new process innovations are tackling the biggest barriers to localized cathode production outside of China.

Alex has spent more than 15 years as a senior executive with a number of public companies. Alex co-founded a technology start-up, leading it from prototype to commercialization in a short period of time. He was also a partner and co-founder of Oxygen Capital Corp., where he was a member of the senior leadership team of precious metal and critical minerals project developers. Alex served as the CEO of Plateau Energy Metals, a public company developing two energy transition critical minerals projects – a hard rock lithium project and a uranium project. He also spent nearly 10 years in investment banking, focused on financing, advising, and structuring M&A and joint venture transactions for companies in the precious metals and critical minerals sectors. Alex holds a M.Sc. in Investment Management, graduating with Distinction from The Business School, City University of London.
