Since founding Nano One in 2011, he has guided the company from concept to commercialization, establishing it as a recognized leader in sustainable lithium-ion battery materials innovation. Earlier in his career, Dan held leadership roles at Fluor, Andronic, Creo, Kodak, and General Fusion, where he developed a reputation for bridging engineering excellence with strategic vision to drive technology and business transformation.
The world is relying on critical minerals that are funnelled through a cathode processing bottleneck in China—an overlooked chokepoint in the midstream of the battery supply chain. This bottleneck presents a generational opportunity to change how cathode materials are made and diversify supply to meet global energy, security, and defence ambitions.
